If you’re someone who hates to miss out on the best food when they visit a city, you’ll be happy to know that the Taste of Paris Festival (running from the 9th to 12th) puts some of the country’s most renowned chefs and top-rated restaurants all in one place for food lovers to tingle their taste buds on all sorts.

Even if you don’t know high-end dining too well, it’s a rare chance to say you’ve had food from some of the city’s most accomplished restaurants.

    Rita Ora

One of the world’s biggest popstars takes over the Bataclan on May 2nd for a night of nothing but non-stop pop.

From a tour coinciding with the launch of her second album, Rita Ora will be bringing a bit of sparkle as she goes through hits like Let Me Love You, Your Song, Anywhere and How We Do.

    Great Paris Steeplechase

One of the highlights in the sporting calendar, the Great Paris Steeplechase is a renowned event taking place at the Hippodrome d’Auteuil.

What makes the races here so unique is the track which was created specifically for steeplechase horse chasing all the way back in the 1870s.

Still going to this day, it’s a great day out if you can make it along to see the excitement and thrill of a race.

    The French Open

Another big sports event and seen by some as the greatest tennis tournament in the world, The French Open (otherwise known as the Roland Garros tournament) once again sees the 16th arrondissement become the world’s tennis capital from the 26th May to 9th June, with the likes of Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic taking to the court.

It will most certainly get loud if you’re near the Stade de France on May 12th as the world’s most famous metal band take the stage for a night of classic rock and headbanging.

This concert will be the band’s first time playing in Paris since 2001, so if you’ve never been before, make sure to take earplugs.
